Teaching in academia allows me to balance my devotion to my students with performance. Recent highlights include the title role in Dido & Aeneas with Bourbon Baroque and Mendelssohn’s Midsummer Night’s Dream with the Tuscaloosa Symphony. Collaborating with living composers has been a passion of mine since my undergraduate days, and I am especially excited that Lori Laitman is composing a song cycle for me. Upcoming early music concerts in Kentucky and Louisiana as well as a Russian/American themed recital with my frequent collaborator, Yakov Kasman, round out the year.
